5 Reasons Virginians Are Crazy for Tim Kaine.

It’s undeniable: Virginians love Tim Kaine.

It was just a short time ago that America was introduced to Tim Kaine as Hillary Clinton’s running mate. For the first time, the world got to see a glimpse of what makes Virginians crazy for Kaine. Here are 5 reasons why we love Tim Kaine:

1. He really loves Virginia. A Kansas City native, Tim Kaine chose our Commonwealth as home after earning his J.D from Harvard in 1983. He hasn’t turned back since.
2. He never takes the easy route. He started his work from the ground up as a Richmond lawyer helping communities in need by fighting to end housing discrimination in bank lending practices.
3. He’s dedicated. Tim is one of only thirty people in American history to ever have served as mayor, governor, and United States senator. (He was a Richmond City Council member too!)
4. He’s bilingual. Tim Kaine is deeply dedicated to service. He lived in Honduras as a missionary where he learned to speak Spanish fluently.
5. And of course, he plays the harmonica!
