Lieutenant Governor of Virginia Justin Fairfax is the Chairwoman’s special guest on this inaugural episode of the True Blue Podcast

Lieutenant Governor of Virginia Justin Fairfax is the Chairwoman’s special guest on this inaugural episode of the True Blue Podcast — during the show the Chairwoman and Lieutenant Governor discuss Fairfax’s start in Virginia politics, some of his favorite moments while in office, and gets personal as he talks about his lovely family. Listen below!

Democrats are speaking out against Kavanaugh’s confirmation and standing up for women.

This week the entire country looked on as Dr. Christine Blasey Ford made her brave testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Even with all the red flags surrounding Kavanaugh, Senate Republicans remain steadfast in their mission to rush the confirmation process for a man credibly accused of sexual assault. There’s too much at stake to allow Brett Kavanaugh to be confirmed to a lifetime appointment to our country’s highest court. Here’s what Virginia Democrats had to say:

Vangie Williams hears you loud and clear — healthcare is a top priority.

Now let’s look at what his opponent, Congressional candidate Vangie Williams, says about health care: “We must have a health care system that puts people over profits.” She believes that anyone should be able to access affordable health care, and that health care should include vision and dental care.

Volunteers are working hard.

With only 34 days left until Election Day, volunteers are working tirelessly knocking doors and talking face-to-face with community members across the commonwealth. November 6th is right around the corner and our energetic volunteers are wasting no time getting the Democratic message out to voters!

Vangie Williams is making history.

“In 2018, as the midterm elections are fast approaching, an unprecedented number of women of color are running for office. They say they are fighting to put politics back into the hands of working people. History has been made on many fronts, and more history is potentially in the making come November. One such individual helping make this history is King George, Virginia resident Vangie Williams.”

President Obama Endorses Jennifer Wexton, Abigail Spanberger, and Elaine Luria.

Today, I’m proud to endorse even more Democratic candidates who aren’t just running against something, but for something — to expand opportunity for all of us and to restore dignity, honor, and compassion to public service. They deserve your vote.

Former Vice President Joe Biden Endorses Abigail Spanberger.

“In all my years in politics, I can say that Abigail is the only former CIA Operative and Girl Scout Leader that I have had the good fortune to endorse,” Biden said in a written statement. “And I’m proud to do so because I know Abigail has what it takes to win in November. As a member of Congress, Abigail will work across the aisle to deliver common sense solutions and have a lasting and positive impact on the lives of the people of the 7th District.”

In Virginia’s 1st Congressional District, career public servant Vangie Williams will face Republican opponent Rob Wittman this fall.

This year’s elections are quickly becoming one for the history books. Thousands of women across the country have stepped up to run for office and increase Democratic power and women’s representation federally, statewide and at the local level. This charge is being led largely by women of color, who are grinding out impressive campaigns that resonate with voters excited for the unique perspectives that they will bring to elected office.
